Deadman90 (Forum Moderator) 08/23/00 10:02 PM Bombs Away -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to the first installment of Deadman's Last Ride. This will be a column concerning all that is right and wrong in the world The Anmerican Bad Ass. The first virtual powerbomb goes to Paul Wight. The man who needs to stop eating chef boyardee overstuffed Italian sausage ravioli and get his ass to the gym. Maybe try some of that stacker 2 stuff the WWF runs ads for. The least he could do is try the stuff considering he is in the commericial. Yeah, he's the guy that says "but my shirts even tighter, stretched across my big fat gut." There is a point to the weight cracks. His lack of physical fitness and rumored extra 50 pounds has caught the attention of WWF officials. At a recent house show Wight was not even able to give the fans more then five minutes of a good match with The Undertaker before he got too exhausted. Granted, it is difficult to keep in prime shape and to not be over tired, but to get to the point where WWF officials intervene is inexcusable. The next reason Big Slob gets Deadman's version of the Last Ride is his lack of commitment & professionalism accompanied by arrogance. I hate to be the one who burst Wight's bubble. Ok, I take that back, I would like to. So I will. He does not have the skills, the presence, the clout, or the fan support to be slacking off and acting like he is the man. Some may wonder Deadman, why do you even care? Normally, I wouldn't. But it affected The Undertaker. The Undertaker had a bit of forward momentum going since his return. Now, in order to help put someone over, The Undertaker was made to look weak. Again. Figuring that Taker was the face in all this, the tide would turn, Wight would get his as kicked, and Taker moves on, it would be fine. It turned out to be all for not. Wight messed up so bad it not olny grabbed the attention of WWF officals, but The Undertaker himself. Rarely, if ever, has Mark Callaway ever been upset to the point he was recently. Throwing stiff shots in hopes to motivate Wight, then confronting him after the show. That indicates a serious problem. We all know Vince McMahon hates to lose money. WAKE UP Vin Man. Your company is blowing big time bread on someone who came to you with that reputation of having an attitude and not being commited to what he was doing. Either the glue from that toupee has sunk into Vince's brain or his wanna be a wretler ways caused some brain damage if he thinks Wight will get any better and stay that way. Fire him now. So thanks to Wight, Undertaker fans are being subjected to another Taker/kane feud. Now that the cyber Last Ride's cherry is broken, we will move on to our second for Kane. Lame, The Big Red Retard. The WWF just does GET IT. On and off for three years they have tried to push the second coming of The Underfaker. He gets the appropriate response for his status on some level for a short time. It wears thin. At that point his pyro gets bigger pops then he does. In a pinch, he was turned heel so Taker would have someone to feud with. So two weeks before Summerslam, to put Lame over, The American Bad Ass' fans are treated to seeing The Undertaker get punked. This is where kane can step up and get slammed. Last Monday's Raw. Taker was chokeslammed twice because the first time Lame missed the mark. His performance on Smackdown added insult to injury. A stupid explaination, sorry excuse, for why he attacked The Undertaker. A cheap shot as UT walked away. Hell, one if nevere enough for Lame, he gets a second Last Ride for his just standing there after hitting Taker three times with a chair. He literally looked like he did not know what he was supposed to do after that. And this is supposed to be exciting. Why is anyone looking foward to a rerun of the first fued when it seems Lame's abilities really have not improved? One can only hope this is very temporary and in a short time The Undertaker will be in the title race, ultimatley winning. Until next time, thanks for reading.
