Last Week's LiveWire poll. Who should be #1 contender the WWF wanted to know. Should it be The American Bad Ass? The Rabid Wolverine? Or the Big Red Retard? Hey, maybe they themselves have no clue and what to see what the fans would like. Anyway, I think UT won the poll. Good for him. One the one hand it sucks that for change they have someone on the poll who could win that privilage on his own merit, that man being The Undertaker, but it is all about popularity. Not that I am complaining that UT was the most liked of all the selections. Personally, this poll never even should have taken place. But why Deadman? Some may wonder. It's easy, the is only one clear choice of who should be #1 contender. The only the person who actually deserves it. Taker. Let's examine this predicament. I shall begin with Chris Benoit. The Canadian Crippler's claim to the title is that he was screwed out of it. Fair enough. This would be some what of a legitimate arguement. If he hadn't brought those screw jobs on himself by trying to screw Crock. But Deadman you may say, he is a heel. That's what heels do. Sorry my friends, The Peon's Chump and Asstin do it all the time. The last valid claim to being screwed out of the title was The Undertaker 3 years ago. He didn't whine about losing half as much, if at all, as the heels and faces of today do. Next, I am saving the best for last, we have Lame. He goes on this "I am a monster, people used to make fun of me" kick. He has done nothing but interfere in Taker's matches. That's deserving of the #1 contender spot? Hardly. Drum roll please. It's The Phenom. For four months he has battled back to better then top form. He has taken everything that was thrown at him without complaint or hesitation. He has done nothing but the right thing, and has helped Snobby Cryvia (Rocky Maivia)nearly every time he was in a tough jam. The American Bad Ass has attitude written all over him, but is what a face should be. When he dropped the title three years ago, he was screwed. His last title reign was marred by the hideous Ministry of Darkness angle and was won on a night he could not enjoy it. The night Owen Hart passed away. I could go on, but it is already too obvious who SHOULD be the #1 contender, Actually, Taker should be champion. Another issue I have today was a comment made by Michael "Coach" Coachman. On LiveWire this morning after replaying The Crock getting his ass checked into the smackdown hotel by The Taker, "Coach" made mention of UT reviewing the tape of his actions and wondering if he would feel remorse or state Crock was in the wrong place at the wrong time. EXCUSE ME! THE UNDERTAKER should go back and review the tape. OK, if he should then Crock should have done the same thing last week after being double teamed by Edge and Christain instead of coming out on Raw and accusing UT of not being there for him. If he wasn't more concerned with trying to remeber what city he was going to next so he could kiss up with his "Finally The Rock has come back to" routine, he would have seen his tag partner was busy trying to keep not only Benoit but Lame from ruining the match. But no. The arrogant son of a bitch can't see he contributed to a TEAM loss. Fast forward to Raw and Smackdown this week. The situation was the same but UT was on the recieving end of the losses. So after two losses that resulted from having no one to tag in one week, nothing but facial and verbal attitudes from one of the least electrifying men in sports entertaiment, and turning to see his partner was the one who bumped into him, UT snapped. The Crock took an one handed express ride through a table. He was the victim of a PHENOMenal chokeslam. Both men see it as the other not being there for him. It is fine for Crock to feel that way, but it is Taker that should not only review the tapes, but feel bad for what he did? Anyone with eyes knows that the losses were not Taker or Crock's faults. There is a solitary difference in both of them feeling the other was not there when they were needed. One that justifies The Taker being pissed enough to chokeslam Snobby. The Undertaker was running from one of the arena to the other trying to pick up all the slack. In all three tag matches. While Crock on the other hand tagged back in occasional, then lost control of the man or extras he was dealing with. Even if UT knew Crock didn't mean anything, he still may feel Crock wasn't trying to hold his end of the match up, while Crock was flat out passing the buck as if to say he could not have been equally responsible for what happened. Is this how a face should repay someone who all they have done is help them? If it is, Karma is like payback Rock, it's bitch. if it doesn't happen on the 24th, it will happen. He should really charish the next 8 days. Before Unforgiven he better kiss the belt because it could be the last kiss goodybye. After spending the night flat on his back unconscious, he may just wake up on Raw watching The Undertaker hold the belt high. I can hope can't I?
